Commercial Coin Laundrette

I had a great experience here. Almost didn't go because of the negative reviews and rating, but wound up having a very positive interaction with the owner. I was there towards the end of the night, and instead of kicking me out, as one might expect after reading the reviews, he actually made a point of letting me stay to finish my load of laundry (it had just finished washing, and needed a quick dry.) He even got me change, and we chatted a little bit.

I'm glad I didn't take those other reviews to heart and skip this spot, or be aggressive with the owner. He clearly was ready to call it a night, but was gracious enough to encourage me to take the time necessary to finish up.

Owner is a complete douchebag; yelling at me, my mother and 3 month old son.

The change machine says it will take $20, $10 and $5 notes to exchange for $1 and $2 coins. I don't know about you but I don't exactly carry a roll of $1 coins with me all the tie.

So we put in $20 and the owner comes out to yell at us saying that we can only exchange coins if we are going to wash clothes i the washing machines. We apologise to avoid a confrontation and then I say the change machine signage needs to be altered to say it'll only accept $10 and $5. The owner later points to a sign at the front that says "No drying only".

Ooohkay....just wondering what's the point of a laundromat that states you have to use a washer AND dryer....

He also told.off a very well behaved young girl that was there with her mother. She was holding her scoter and he came.out to tell her off...
